Private Lessons with Tim
Tim is a professional, high-level performer on guitar, banjo, and mandolin.  Beginning, intermediate and master-level instruction are available.  Lessons are customized to each student's individual needs, and topics are designed to meet the student's goals.  Audio and video taping of lessons is encouraged.

Material
Music material will be provided based on your genre or style interests.  You are also encourage to bring your own choice of music or songs to work on.  Tim can provide coaching for a performance, or help you to prepare and arrange your own original music.

* $50 per session (1 hour long)
Lessons are weekly, and payment is due at the first lesson of the month for the entire month.  The $50/hour rate is based on a monthly commitment - therefore, you'd pay $200 for months in which there are four lesson days, or $250 for months in which there are five.  Lessons without a monthly commitment are also available, for $60/hour.  Read the Lesson Policies

Location - Tim teaches weekly out of two locations in Tucson (downtown and Catalina Foothills).  Tim is also available for lessons and workshops when travelling and performing outside of Tucson (More info about Guest Teaching here).

Tim Wiedenkeller is a professional guitar and mandolin player and virtuoso 5-string banjo performer with 30 years of experience playing and teaching. He teaches 3-finger-style banjo, acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin, and voice.  His expertise covers a wide range of styles, including bluegrass, pop, jazz, blues, world, and classical.  He honed his playing alongside some of the most influential musicians of today.

Tim worked for years as a studio musician in Los Angeles, immersed in a myriad of diverse styles. He has received international acclaim for Milagros, his CD of original classical banjo compositions for the 5-string banjo.
