Tim is a professional singer and performer, as well as a multi-instrumentalist. He teaches private voice lessons, open to all levels, including absolute beginners. Beginning, intermediate and master-level instruction are available.
Students learn the skills needed to play individually or in a group. Lessons are customized to each student's individual needs, and topics are designed to meet the student's goals. Audio and video taping of lessons is encouraged.

Proper vocal technique can be applied to any style of singing or speech. Tim teaches the Passagio technique, also known as Seth Riggs' Speech Level Singing (www.sethriggs.com), which he studied intensively for four years. Students learn to find their different areas of resonance and to relax the musculature of the throat, particularly the larynx, to avoid "pulling up" to high notes or "pushing down" for low notes. Singers learn to float throughout their range, sounding better and eliminating potentially debilitating habits.
Tim also coaches for specific performances or recordings. He teaches harmony singing and "ear-training" which improves ones ability to respond to a style, melody, and harmony within a harmonic (chordal) structure.
Pricing
* 1-hour lessons are $45 each (recommended)
* 40-minute lessons are $35 each
Lessons are weekly, and payment is due at the first lesson of the month, for the entire month. For example, if taking hour-long lessons you'd pay $180 for months in which there are four lesson days, or $225 for months in which there are five. Single lessons without a monthly commitment are also available for an additional $5 each. Read the Lesson Policies
Location - Tim teaches out of two locations, in Central Tucson and the Catalina Foothills. Lessons can also be taught in your home for an additional cost.

Tim Wiedenkeller is professional singer and mulit-instrumentalist with 30 years of experience performing, recording, and teaching. He teaches banjo, acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin, and voice. His expertise covers a diversity of styles, including popular, jazz, blues, world, and classical.
Tim honed his playing and singing alongside some of the most influential musicians of today. As a vocalist he studied the Passagio vocal technique intensively for four years (also known as Seth Riggs' Speech Level Singing). Tim worked for years as a studio musician and vocalist in Los Angeles, immersed in a myriad of diverse styles. He has received international acclaim for Milagros, his CD of original classical banjo compositions for the 5-string banjo.
